FINAL SESSION ON DESIGNING ENGAGING PRESENTATION WORKSHOP Hello beautiful one, this is just a quick update on our final training workshop on DESIGNING ENGAGING PRESENTATIONS. We started off at 8pm confirming that we all had our laptops, iPads or desktop computers open, as it was a practice based workshop. The trainer kicked off with recapping everything that we had learnt over the last 3 weeks - from advanced PowerPoint skills, to Google slides, to using Canva to design self/voice recorded presentations, a 2 page E-book using Canva, to mentimeter & finally beautiful.ai. We had 2 new learners join us & the trainer got them to practice designing their own self/voice recorded presentations using Canva & uploading it. It was an interactive session, where we stopped the trainer & clarified key points. Thank you everyone for joining us on this 4 week learning journey. We will be in May with another set of workshops focusing on career women & entrepreneurs. Thank you to our facilitator & trainer - Blessing Iwok, for giving so much of your time, knowledge & experience to us. Anabel our SheCreatesAfrica country Lead for UK & Italy, visited me this morning. She had just returned from Ghana & brought me a full bag of Ghanaian Crayfish, a full bag of Ghanaian dryfish (we call this delicious dryfish Ebat in my local language) & bottles of pure Ghanaian Cocoa Powder with no additives. This was sent to me through Anabel by the SheCreatesAfrica Country Lead for Ghana - Leila Seidu. We spent the entire morning & early afternoon, chatting about careers & the skills that we needed to develop in order to excel, personal growth, the socialisation of women to minimise their voice, regional trade opportunities & a draft plan of SheCreatesAfrica upcoming retreat in one of the beautiful country's in Africa. I am truly grateful for the entire SheCreatesAfrica team, they have been so amazing despite our silence, we are still pushing forward with our regional trade agenda - 💞our Ghanaian team have continued to export products to the UK & we received a shipment early last week (I will showcase it during the week) as we have gotten an upcoming cosmetic company in the UK to buy our raw Ghanaian products. 💞Our SheCreatesAfrica entrepreneur in Italy (Sarah AFricano) shipped in exclusively designed African print winter coats ( I will showcase her during the week) & 💞we are expecting another shipment from the SheCreatesAfrica Nigerian team by the end of next month. Hello beautiful one, this is just a quick update on our third of four training workshops on DESIGNING A SELF RECORDED PRESENTATION USING MENTIMETER AND BEAUTIFUL.AI. The trainer started off at 8pm confirming that we all had our laptops, iPads or desktop computers open, as it was a practice based workshop. She kicked off with a 10 minutes recap of last week's session. Then went straight to teaching us how to embed live quizzes, word cloud questions, Open Ended Questions, or Scales into our presentation using mentimeter. We followed her step by step instructions. She then gave us 10 minutes to practice designing our own slides and include live quizzes, word cloud questions, Open Ended Questions, or Scales. We all practiced, asked her questions to clarify the steps. When we had all finished, 2 of the participants showcased their own presentation that they had designed. This was to ensure that the knowledge had been embedded & we had learnt how to design our presentation using mentimeter. We then moved onto Beautiful.AI, which gave us the option of using the Bot to rewrite our presentation to make it more professional e.g. it can make the tone of our messaging to be more relaxed, more exciting, more urgent or more professional. The icing on the cake, while working with beautiful.al, was using the Designer Bot AI to create a presentation deck with very limited input from you. We all needed to put in what we want it to do, and click on generate presentation. The AI Bot creates an entire presentation for me and all I need to do is edit. This was truly the icing on the cake and added value to today’s workshop session. It was an interactive session, with questions asked at intervals, whilst following the steps given by the trainer. We all had loads of laughter, while showcasing our own examples, as we teased ourselves. DECEMBER - OUR MONTH OF GRATITUDE Beautiful one🌹, it is the last month of the year and we at SheCreatesAfrica are starting our month of gratitude, as we focus our attention on gratitude practices. We have all had a very hard year especially with the impact Covid 19 has had on us all. I asked myself this morning, what am I grateful for today and my key thoughts focused on gratitude around waking up this morning, having breath in my lungs, my family, being inside a warm home, my friends, having a job that I love, and having days off. But as I reflected further and dug deeper, my gratitude is more than just the immediate things that I have, I am truly grateful for the following: - All of the beautiful people who endlessly enrich and inspire my life, open my heart and mind, challenge me to grow and hold me up with love and support. - The Earth and it's infinite abundance in nurturing and supporting us all on this planet, the life that it gives and how it holds us all up. - I am so appreciative of my body, the magnificent intricate mysterious temple that carries me through this experience of living. - I am thankful to my organs for relentlessly nourishing and purifying me, - To my mind for being alert, creative and innovative, while helping me navigate my life, - To my lungs for breathing and bringing life and my heart, for beating love, kindness and compassion through me. Who you surround yourself with has an impact on who you become and can fundamentally change who you are. So keep a check on your circle by asking yourself these simple questions. 1. How do you feel around the people you give most of your time to? Do they nourish your soul and uplift you? 2. Do they motivate you to succeed and become the best version of yourself or do they hinder your growth or success either intentionally or unintentionally? 3. Do you feel accepted, respected & comfortable or do you feel uncomfortable, undermined & looked down on, yet trying to change who you are just to fit in? 4. Do you feel like it is a partnership or are you all always in competition with each other? 5. Do you feel like they are of questionable character, fraudulent or at war with themselves e.g they enjoy creating trouble or chaos, constantly looking for something to fight about or is there a sense of peace, which gives room for creative possibilities? Beautiful one 🌹, spend time answering these questions truthfully and if you don't like the answers, then it is time for some truthful conversations with yourself, distancing and pruning. Remember your environment and the people in it can make a big difference in your life; so trust your gut feeling/instincts, it is like a compass and will tell you how you really feel. This morning, Isabel jumped into our bed & we joyfully cuddled while we talked about the things she did as as a toddler & about her relatives & descendants from Oron in Nigeria, Australia & the UK. We told her that she was actually 84 months old. You need to see the look of shock on her face 🤣🤣. She said mummy, i know that it is true but 84 is a big number, so I will stick with telling people that I am just 7 years old🤣🤣. Isabel is truly my daughter 😂😂. Today, both of us took her to school with her party drinks & snacks. She is having her birthday party in school with her friends. We decided to surprise her with a new doll house & some LOL dolls, as she understands that there will be no parties because of covid 19 restrictions. So when she is home at 3.30pm, we will have a little celebration, open her presents & drop off some cake at our neighbors houses. We will all be high on sugar today 🤣☺️ Isabel, YOU have brought us so much joy & happiness😍. Mum & dad love you to infinity & back 😍😍. Thank you for giving us the precious gift of parenthood 🙏.

For me it's been swimming lessons I went for on sunday🏊 with Isabel, then I visited the garden centre🌻☘️🌱🌿🌷 & later this afternoon we went back for another practice swim together👯💦🌊🏊. Isabel swam around me practicing putting her head under water💦🌊🏊. As I relaxed in the pool, Isabel began to say mummy see me, I can float on my back, I am super girl, so I cheered her on loudly & calling her super girl🎤📣. I began on reflect on Isabel's words👥, then it occurred to me, WHAT DO YOU SEE👁️? Is it beauty, fear, possibilities, aspiration, options, wholeness, confidence, defeat, loss or success? The Faculty of Business & Law (Covid 19 complaint) Excellence award took place today. It was hosted by Prof Jenna Ward (Dean) & Prof Kai Peters (Pro Vice Chancellor). My team (the MBA) was awarded the Faculty Excellence Award 2021 in the category of Course Team. I am truly proud of what the MBA team has achieved despite the challenging year that we all faced. We have grown the MBA portfolio by over 1001% in 11 months, from 51 learners to 561 learners & won very high profile contracts. We are now worth over £10 million pounds. A MOMENT OF THANKFUL REFLECTION🙏 • The last 1 year has been full of uncertainty & sometimes very challenging. We have endured the unexpected a million times over, hence it can sometimes be hard to find something to be thankful for, especially when we are stressed out & very afraid😟. If you feel this way, you are not alone, however today I want to invite you to find something to be thankful for🙏, even if it is just the roof above your head🏠 or the food in your kitchen🍛🍽️. TIPS TO HELP YOU SPRING FORWARD THIS MONTH • 1. Refuse to be stuck in your past! Don’t allow past disappointments to weigh you down, things are in the past for a reason, so let them be. That project or relationship did not work out? Or you didn't get the job, then so be it. Channel that pain of regret or disappointment into feeding your future. You are the only one that can decide your happiness and always remember that the past is not your future. 2. Overcome your Fear This month write down all your fears and tackle them slowly also think about where the fear might be coming from either from childhood? From past relationship? Or workplace? Move forward with thinking of that fear, walk through the fear and make it less predominant. Moving ahead in spite of fear is key in mastering situations and overcoming it. 3. Be Active and Happy! When you adjust your activities, you feel more energized. Start taking evening walks, drive a bike, play soccer or even do some gardening. Always give yourself something to look forward to; and also make it a hobby but in between all that don’t forget to the wine and snacks 😄😄 Whatever you choose to do, just be happy!!! Because when you’re happy and relaxed you have less time to worry about things that makes you sad or overwhelmed. Repeat!!!
